Students listen to lectures on topics such as health economics and management, an overview of the pharmaceutical and medical device market, knowledge about other health systems, marketing and communication, legal and medical frameworks and foundations, preventive and sports management, business fundamentals, accounting, business and private law, supply options and dealing with new organisational structures, current health policy developments, communication and interviewing techniques as well as moderation and presentation. Students choose two specialist areas in the fourth and fifth semesters. Students choose from one of three health economics-related specialisations as part of their first specialist area (Hospital Management/Managed Care, E-Health and Supply Management/Pharmaceutical Management and Pharmaceutical Economics). The second specialist area is a free choice, and consequently can be combined with other courses of study (e.g. Controlling or Personnel Psychology, etc.).
